What I find annoying...

  • Jul. 6th, 2009 at 9:47 PM

People who think they look cool by saying they don't give a **** about animals going extinct from hunting or deforestation, etc. It doesn't make you look cool. It just makes you look like an ignorant asshole.

My nephew is so cute!

  • Jun. 28th, 2009 at 5:21 PM

Today he kept calling me out of the bedroom. He would yell down the hall "Amanda, kiss hug!" He's 2. I'd go out and he'd give me a kiss and a hug. He is SO SWEET.

It's my birthday!

  • Jun. 15th, 2009 at 11:04 PM

I only have 55 minutes to truthfully say it's my birthday today. So here it is. It's my birthday today. It's my birthday today! It's my birthday today!!! It's my birthday today!!! I'm 26 hooray! I got the DVD Bolt, a knitted scarf, and the Sims 3 strategy guide, and I went on a picnic with my mom and brother!

Okay, this is definitely the most obnoxious post I've ever made. Still my birthday though, I'm allowed to annoy people!

It's my birthday today!

Hi again!

  • Jun. 14th, 2009 at 3:34 PM

It's been a while since I posted here. No one reads this anyway, but what the heck. Tomorrow's my birthday! Hooray! I'll be 26. My entire family minus my brother Mike will be over for dinner, which will be takeout from Archies. In the morning, I'm going on a picnic with my parents and brother Andrew. I'm going to try to post more often, but I don't have anything more to say today.

Go home.
That is all.

Love, Amanda

Cool dream!

  • Aug. 21st, 2008 at 9:10 PM

I had this dream last night that was pretty neat.
I dreamt I was one of those kids from the Chronicles of Narnia-I think I was Susan. The dream started off with us escaping from Freddy Krueger. Eventually I developed saint-like powers and was able to slay him with a magical sword. Or ward him off, at least. The awesome goodness of my powers were like acid to him.
Then somehow we ended up trapped in a labyrinth of junk. It was a maze made up from piles upon piles of books, items, and furniture. We had to solve all sorts of puzzles to find our way through it. At one point I climbed onto a pile and was faced with my own reflection. I knew I had to go through that way so I picked up a book and read it aloud. While I read it, my reflection climbed out of the mirror. I threw her off the pile, and then I was able to go forward. At some points I would climb and see my reflection across the room doing something else and then I would have to do what my reflection did once I got over there.
Some places I could only get to by climbing onto furniture and then waiting for someone to come and move the furniture with me on it. We got to one area where we all had to climb up a rope but there was nothing up there. I moved over to Lucy's rope and there was an opening in the top. At that point we all separated. I climbed up into the opening (I had to move a ton of stuff out of the way) and then pulled myself up. I came out on a tunnel made of fabric overlooking a golf course. I could go left where the tunnel was covered, or I could go right where anyone could see me because it was open. I had just solved a puzzle that told me to go left, so I went that way.
I ended up in a gigantic lobby made up of people waiting to enter the labyrinth. I tried to go up the escalator, but the people there sent me back and I ended up back where I started. So I climbed up the rope and into the tunnel again and went right instead of left. I ended up in a pond overlooking a closed in glass pathway and I saw the other three walking in the pathway. I waved at them and they waved back and then they all held their noses and made gestures like they were swimming.
I kept on going and came to the golf course I saw earlier except I was not overlooking it, I was right there. There was a stream there, and I knew if the golfers saw me I would get sent back, so I jumped in the stream and swam, taking the hint from the others.
It was very shallow so I couldn't go completely under the water, but everyone who saw me thought I was a dolphin, and I got through unscathed. I ended up going over a rope bridge and ended up in a room where I was congratulated for making it through the labyrinth and was given a trophy. I then reunited with the other 3 Narnia kids and we all hugged and laughed. I have no idea what this dream meant, but as my dreams go, it was unusually imaginative. Cool, huh?

My God I'm so bored.

  • Aug. 11th, 2008 at 10:19 PM

I didn't want to believe it, but it's true. There is absolutely nothing of interest on the internet today.

Beacock library

  • Aug. 2nd, 2008 at 11:56 AM

My mom said she'd take me to the library, so I said "How about Beacock? We haven't been there for a while." My mom started laughing. It turned out she thought I said "How about Detox?" Yeah, we haven't been there for a while either. xD

My poster!

  • Aug. 1st, 2008 at 9:02 PM

I was at a sunrise records the other day and ended up buying a poster of Joker from the Dark Knight.

It was this one! Awesome, right? Now my three year old niece isn't allowed in my bedroom because her mom thinks she'll have nightmares. I knew I made the right choice. :p I love the Joker. I was so sad when Heath Ledger died. How horrible. I do love my poster though. It's like I'm keeping Heath alive on my wall!
I just joined a bunch of communities. Customers_suck, wtf_inc, bad_service, and a few others. I can't wait to get in there and start making friends! :D

Help

  • Aug. 1st, 2008 at 8:49 PM

My air conditioning is broken. My sister in law is sick so we have to entertain her kids all day. My only pleasure in life is mint mocha chip frappucino without the chips. Also, I've watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle about seven times. I am so frigging hot and bored.

ten million spiders

  • Jun. 29th, 2008 at 10:07 PM

I was opening my pantry door when I noticed an odd shadow on the wall. Actually, more like 5000 odd shadows. Turns out there were about a million spiders on the door. A couple were big, but most were tiny. They must have just bred. As a shower gift, I got my mom to swipe them all up with a kleenex and dump them outside. Happy vacation, spiders!

I forgot to mention, Shannon emailed me and said he's been busy but we'll get together and do something in July. I should email him back.

I am so bored...

  • Jun. 27th, 2008 at 9:19 PM

So so so bored. Boredy boredy bored... I can't even find anything to do on the internet. I've read all my sites that have updated. Maybe I'll try to slog through one of the library books that I couldn't get into or I'll watch that movie I haven't gotten around to watching yet due to lack of interest. Fahrenheit 451. Or I'll just eat a ton of candy and wash it down with a pepsi. Or play pokemon. Or sort out my CD collection. Or watch Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children for the 17th time. I have to call Shannon tomorrow. He hasn't called all week, I wonder why. I LOOOOOOVE popcorn jelly bellies! :p Maybe I'll go through my jelly bellies and pick out all the popcorn flavoured ones. They taste like butter if lots of sugar was added. Or maybe I'll practice juggling. Or do my laundry. Or read my Helen Keller autobiography. Or complain to my parents. Or shower and put on deodorant. Or play solitaire. Or shake up my snow globes. Or recharge the batteries in my camera. Or make an omelet. Or read a strategy guide to a game I'll never get around to beating. Or draw in my sketchbook. Or play the Wii. Or play Dirge of Cerberus on the PS2. Or practice the flute. Or load the dishwasher. Or have some pudding. Or put the dogs out. Or do yoga. Or read one of my paranormal encyclopaedias. Actually, I think I'll do that. I'm bound to have forgotten everything in them by now! Be back later.

Happy birthday to me!

  • Jun. 15th, 2008 at 9:47 PM

It's my birthday today! I got a yummy cake with strawberries, an Indiana Jones Mr. Potato Head (Idaho Spuds), and the Indiana Jones DVD collection. We all went to the Mandarin for dinner, crammed ourselves with buffet food, and then came home. I'm 25 today. Blah.
My niece made me a homemade birthday card with glitter and cutouts and that kind of stuff. She also gave me a flower. It was pretty sweet. She's 3. Not really much else to say. I love lime sherbet!

Maus

  • May. 28th, 2008 at 10:09 PM

Hi!

I was at the library and I got this really interesting graphic novel, Maus. It's about the holocaust featuring the Jews as mice and cats as Nazis. It was made by a guy who wanted to tell the story about his parents in the holocaust, but he was a cartoonist, not a writer. So he made this book from various interviews with his father. It's a really good book. The author is named Art Spiegelman. I'm not finished it yet, but it won a pulitzer.
My mom is coming home from B.C. in two days. I have to clean the kitchen tomorrow so she comes home to a nice clean kitchen. Blegh...
